I think success was best described by Ralph Waldo Emerson, ”To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics, and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, garden patch, or redeemed social condition; to know that even  one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

There is a calling to do this work. I am not saying that it makes cancer nurses better than other nurses. What I am saying is that cancer nurses and people involved with the care of cancer patients, are people who want to be there to make a difference. Everyting done here is a team effort.
